Design Graphics magazine (aka DG magazine) required a rebrand to be rolled out across its print and electronic publishing formats. The new logotype and layout system aim for a timeless quality, incorporating a throwback to the previous checkerboard masthead, while balancing somewhere between retro 8-bit graphics and the current trend of flat design. The launch of the rebrand aptly accompanies the Future Edition, for which a cover design was also required. A photographic solution celebrates the ridiculousness of the Retro-Futurism movement, imagining how a DG reader may look a number of years from now. The talented Nick Valmas handled the photography.
